ASCO promotes lifelong learning and the enhancement of essential clinical skills by providing members with opportunities to fulfill American Board of Internal Medicine Maintenance of Certification requirements. For young professionals, ASCO’s Leadership Development Program offers participants an opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills and help the Society in its mission to conquer cancer though research, education, and the promotion of the highest quality patient care.
The ASCO Virtual Mentors Program is a yearlong program designed to support ASCO members who have unmet mentoring needs. Program participants must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 hour per month during the program period.
To qualify for the Virtual Mentors Program, applicants must:
- Be a current ASCO member or submit a membership application with their mentoring program application.
- Be within 10 years of completing their final oncology subspecialty training at the time of application submission.
- Be practicing in the United States.
- Be able to attend a Mentoring Workshop at the 2018 ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago on June 4, 2018.
