The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) host a weekly webinar series on caring for people with cancer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Webinars are recorded every Thursday and are available online every Friday.
As COVID-19 continues to spread, ASCO and ONS are focusing on the health and safety of the oncology community by developing and providing guidance for their audiences. Both organizations are committed to providing the cancer care workforce with current information and resources to ensure that individuals with cancer continue to receive high-quality care during these uncertain times.
The first two webinars in the series covered issues around personal protective equipment (PPE), telehealth, and adjustments to cancer care. Subsequent webinars will cover: situation updates, staffing, limiting transmission, legislative updates, regulatory updates, and ASCO and ONS resources.
The spread of COVID-19 is a developing situation. ASCO’s Coronavirus Oncology Resource Center
contains answers to frequently asked questions, links to resources for patients, and other pertinent information. ONS’s online information regarding the coronavirus features information about COVID-19, PPE and safety information, resources for patient care and support, nursing and professional practice information, and more. Both sites will be updated as new information becomes available.
