On April 1, 2020, the review, dispute, and correction process for the Open Payments Program for program year 2019 will open. Physicians and teaching hospitals may review and dispute any updated records attributed to them by reporting entities until May 15. Conducting an annual review of payments reported under your name on the federal government’s Open Payments website is an important way to make sure that your record is accurate.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting the Open Payments National Provider Call: Your Role in Health Care Transparency on Thursday, March 19 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (ET) for physicians, teaching hospitals, and staff. During the call, representatives from CMS will discuss the Open Payments Program timeline and processes, as well as answer questions the audience may have.
