Quality & Guidelines
ASCO's Institute for Quality (iQ) was established to promote quality, value, and accountability in cancer care and to enhance the Society’s longstanding goal of improving the quality of care in the field of oncology. In keeping with this goal, ASCO is committed to offering oncology providers the resources they need to deliver high-quality cancer care to every patient. Here you will find the latest information on CancerLinQ™, the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI®), QOPI Certification Program™, Health Information Technology (HIT), Virtual Learning Collaborative, Quality Training Program, and ASCO Guidelines.
As quality measurement increasingly plays a role in physician reimbursement and quality improvement is incorporated into maintenance of certification, oncology professionals will all need to be rowing in the same direction. The tools provided by ASCO’s Institute for Quality are here to meet those needs. Physicians whose practices have achieved QOPI® Certification now can receive a premium discount of up to 10% on malpractice insurance premiums from The Doctors Company.
The ASCO Membership Directory is your go-to tool for finding and interacting with other ASCO members. Designed to keep you in touch with like-minded colleagues, the Membership Directory app enables you to build your professional network, connect with colleagues at meetings and easily provide other ASCO members’ information to patients seeking a referral. Using the app, members can search by name, organization, specialty and/or certification.
With new treatments coming out seemingly daily and limited time for learning, it can be hard to stay on top of the latest in oncology. So when you do have the time, you want the resources you utilize to meet your own learning style. The ASCO Personalized Learning Dashboard helps you to sift through all of the information out there and find content recommendations tailored to your media preferences.
