ASCO has a membership category for all oncology professionals at all career stages, including those that have recently retired. ASCO recognizes the contributions of our members and enables them to stay connected to their profession and colleagues by offering free Emeritus membership.
Current members of ASCO in good standing with the Society are eligible to transition to the Emeritus membership category if they meet one of the following criteria:
- Fully retired from professional activities
- 70 years of age
- Permanently disabled
Annual Dues: Free
Benefits of Emeritus Membership
Emeritus members are entitled to ASCO member benefits at no cost, including full online access to all ASCO journals, including Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO) and Journal of Oncology Practice (JOP). Print subscriptions are available at the discounted ASCO member annual rate of $290 for JCO and $60 for JOP. Members in this category retain all rights and privileges that they held in their previous member category; however, previous Full members are not eligible to hold office.
Members who would like to be considered for Emeritus membership may be required to complete a one-page application form. For more information about Emeritus membership or to request a category change, please email us.
Please note, new applicants for membership are unable to join ASCO as an Emeritus member. This category is only available to existing ASCO members.
