The ASCO Research Community Forum (RCF) will be hosting a free webinar on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 12-1 p.m. ET to share highlights from this year’s RCF Annual Meeting workshop. Participants can gain valuable, actionable resources to implement in their own research programs.
Established in 2010, the ASCO RCF works to support clinical research sites. Each year, the Forum’s Annual Meeting brings together ASCO leaders, regulatory experts, physician investigators, and research staff to examine current barriers in research and identify actionable solutions to overcome challenges and ultimately enhance patient enrollment in cancer studies. The 2018 meeting was the Forum’s largest Annual Meeting to date with over 150 attendees participating in this unique opportunity to network, collaborate, and hear from leaders in the cancer research field.
This webinar is a great chance to obtain many of the top resources the meeting offered in a condensed format including the RCF Annual Meeting toolkit! The webinar will include workshop highlights including:
- Optimizing Clinical Trial Sites: Building an Effective Research Program—Hear strategies on how to get an institution to invest in research, learn about the value of mentoring and partnerships, and see how to build engagement throughout your staff and site.
- Research Program Operations: Running an Effective Clinical Trial Program—Learn about considerations and concerns when building and supporting research staff and see key strategies to establish and maintain site quality.
With time for Q and A, this webinar will also be a chance to engage in discussion with webinar speakers and other attendees about conducting and managing clinical trials.
This webinar is one of many tools and resources developed by the ASCO RCF to support cancer research sites.
