How do I apply for a position at ASCO?
To apply for open positions, submit your resume/cover letter using our online submission process.
What happens when I submit my application?
When you submit your application using our electronic submission process, you will receive a “Thank You” prompt confirming receipt. This means that an ASCO Recruiter has access to your information as part of our database. Your resume will be compared to the criteria for the position you have selected.
How do I check on the status of my application/resume?
You can track the status of your submittited applications using our online database and login information. You can also manage your submissions by viewing or withdrawing your submitted application. Once the position has been filled, you will notice the position is no longer listed in your profile.
Can I apply for more than one position?
Yes. When you are logged in, click on "Search Jobs" and then click on the additional position that you would like to apply for. You will have the option to use your most recent application or upload a new resume or CV. There is no limit on how many positions you can apply for.
What happens if I am not selected as a candidate?
If there is no current position that is a good fit for your skills, your resume will be retained in our database and matched against other open positions. Due to the high volume of resumes we receive, we are not able to contact all applicants personally. However, you will receive an automated email from our applicant tracking system.
How will I know if I am selected as a candidate?
If you are evaluated as qualified and selected as a candidate, one of our Recruiters will contact you within a few weeks with information on next steps.
What are the next steps after being selected as a candidate?
If selected as a candidate, you will be contacted by a Recruiter for a phone screening. If the screening call is successful, you will complete an interview with the Hiring Manager. Upon successful completion of an interview with the hiring manager, you will be invited to ASCO Headquarters to complete an in-person interview with additional staff members. Depending on the position, you might need to complete an assessment.
