Cancer Care Under Threat in Debt Ceiling Negotiations: ASCO is working with coalition partners to prevent a 2% cut to the average sales price that has been proposed as a possible cost saving measure in the debt ceiling negotiations.

Drug Shortages: ASCO is actively engaged in finding solutions for the national shortages of cancer therapies.

Advanced Cancer Care Planning: ASCO is working to encourage physicians to have discussions with patients about end-of-life care and is pursuing Medicare coverage for the time spent by physicians.

Removing Prompt-Pay Discounts from the ASP: ASCO is working with coalition partners to promote legislation that removes prompt pay discounts from the average sales price for Part B drugs

NIH/NCI/FDA Appropriations: ASCO is advocating for sustained funding for NIH, NCI and FDA, which is critical to improving treatments for all Americans with cancer, including eventually finding a cure for cancer.

Sustainable Growth Rate Formula: ASCO is urging Congress to permanently fix the SGR and is engaged in discussions with other stakeholders to identify ways solutions.
