Multidisciplinary Cancer Management Course: Train the Trainer, Chile, 2010 |
Multidisciplinary Cancer Management Courses (MCMC) promote a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment through the education of physicians, nurses, and oncology trainees.
Palliative Care Courses address palliative and end-of-life care issues in oncology utilizing the Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care for Oncology (EPEC-O) curriculum.
International Clinical Trials Workshops (ICTW) deliver training in clinical research skills for research teams in countries with emerging economies.
Other Advanced Cancer Courses include a range of topics, from cancer care in the elderly to cancer genetics and cancer prevention.
The ACORD Clinical Research Workshop offers intensive training in clinical research methods for early career oncologists and researchers outside the United States.
Joint Symposia are jointly organized sessions held at a partnering society's congress.
ASCO Meeting Endorsements are available for conferences held by professional oncology societies that meet high quality standards for educational content.
Best of ASCO® International consists of peer-reviewed abstracts, hand-selected by ASCO, for presentation at a local venue following the ASCO Annual Meeting.
The ASCO-ESMO Global Curriculum provides recommendations for the training of specialists in Medical Oncology. |
International Fellowships and Awards

2010 IDEA recipients |
The International Development and Education Award (IDEA) pairs early-career oncologists in low- and middle-income countries (LMCs) with a mentor in the U.S. or Canada and sponsors travel to the ASCO Annual Meeting.
The Long Term International Fellowship (LIFe) provides early-career oncologists in LMCs a 1-year fellowship opportunity to collaborate on research activities at a mentor's institution in the U.S. or Canada.
Visit the Conquer Cancer Foundation for other research awards that are open to international applicants, including the Career Development Award and Young Investigator Award. |

Journal of Clinical Oncology Translations: JCO, ASCO's flagship publication, is the foremost peer-reviewed medical journal focusing on clinical cancer research.
