ALEXANDRIA, Va. – CancerLinQ LLC (CLQ LLC) CEO Kevin Fitzpatrick has been appointed to the Cancer Informatics for Cancer Centers (CI4CC) Corporate Advisory Board. CancerLinQ LLC is a wholly owned nonprofit subsidiary of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Inc. (ASCO®) and Mr. Fitzpatrick’s appointment builds on CI4CC and CLQ LLC’s collaborative efforts to help improve cancer care.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the board of an organization that represents the nation’s leading informaticists and technology leaders,” said Mr. Fitzpatrick. “CancerLinQ and CI4CC aim to bring together the oncology community through leveraging big data to help understand and conquer cancer.”
CancerLinQ™ is a powerful platform containing growing amounts of real-world cancer information. This national initiative will allow cancer providers to improve the quality and value of care by analyzing millions of cancer patient medical records, uncovering patterns and trends, and measuring their care against that of their peers and recommended guidelines. The platform uses SAP Connected Health built on the SAP HANA® platform, a flexible, multi-purpose data management and application platform created by SAP.
Earlier this year, CLQ LLC and CI4CC announced the creation of a joint initiative to engage informatics leaders nationally. The collaboration established an informatics advisory council for CancerLinQ™ comprised of leading experts to facilitate cross-filtration and participation in a variety of avenues, including key forums, engagement in programmatic development, and alignment in strategic opportunities.
“We are excited to have Mr. Fitzpatrick join the Corporate Advisory Board which aims to support the academic and research mission of our members through engagement with partners,” said CI4CC Co-Founder Sorena Nadaf, who serves as the City of Hope Chief Informatics Officer, Senior Vice President, and Director of Digital Health Innovation and Data Science. “The collaborative nature of CancerLinQ along with Mr. Fitzpatrick’s diverse background in both the health and data sectors will provide invaluable insight to support coalition building and knowledge exchange.”
In his current role as CEO of CLQ LLC, Mr. Fitzpatrick leads his staff in achieving the mission, successful operations, and financial sustainability of CancerLinQ™ and works to build a highly dynamic and collaborative effort with SAP. Under Mr. Fitzpatrick’s leadership these teams work together to make CancerLinQ™ the learning health system of choice for the entire oncology community.
