Ms. Daly joined ASCO in 2004 ASCO as Director of Cancer Research Policy. Her background in clinical research helped expand ASCO's focus on research issues and efforts. During the following years the Grants Program grew, and Nancy took on the role of Director of Grants for The ASCO Cancer Foundation. Conquer Cancer Foundation Grants Program is one of the largest grants programs among professional societies, with more than $50 million in funding awarded since its inception in 1984. At the beginning of 2009, Nancy assumed the role of Executive Director for The ASCO Cancer Foundation, which was relaunched as the Conquer Cancer Foundation in 2011. In 2014, she also assumed the role of Chief Philanthropic Officer for the Foundation.
Nancy received her Bachelor of Science degree from Russell Sage College in 1980 and Masters of Science and Masters of Public Health degrees from Columbia University in 1985 and 1992, respectively. She went on to complete a post-Masters Nurse Practitioner degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professionals in 1999. In 1999, Nancy moved to Washington, DC to establish the Government Relations program for the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO). Along with implementing the Government Relations program, Nancy was able to provide a clinical perspective on radiation oncology, based on 23 years in the field.
