Julie M. Vose, MD, MBA, FASCO is the Neumann M. and Mildred E. Harris Professorial Chair and Chief of the Oncology/Hematology Division in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is the Associate Director of Clinical Research and Co-Chair of the Lymphoma Program at the Fred and Pamela Buffet Cancer Center. In addition to being ASCO’s President-Elect, Dr. Vose also serves on the Special Awards Selection and Health Disparities Committees.
An ASCO member since 1991, Dr. Vose has served on the Board of Directors, Nominating Committee, Scientific Program Committee, Hematology-Oncology Task Force, Cancer.Net Advisory Panel and Editorial Board, and Journal of Clinical Oncology Editorial Board. She served as Chair of the Cancer Education Committee and Publications Committee.
Dr. Vose is Co-Chair of the Lymphoma Steering Committee for the National Cancer Institute and has served on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Oncologic Advisory Board (ODAC). She also served as Education Committee Chair for the American Society of Hematology and Education Committee Chair for the American Society of Bone Marrow Transplantation. In addition, Dr. Vose served as Journal Editor of Leukemia and Lymphoma, is on three additional editorial boards, and is a reviewer for 10 journals.
She received her undergraduate degree from the South Dakota State University, medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and MBA in health administration from the University of Colorado Business School. She completed her residency and was Chief Resident in internal medicine and her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
