The ASCO Cancer Foundation Grants Program offers different types of funding opportunities for oncology fellows, mentored training and career development, and professorships.
Translational Research Professorship:
Intended to support qualified individuals who are dedicated to bringing advances in basic sciences into the clinical arena and to mentoring other translational researchers.
Total: $500,000 over five (5) years

Advanced Clinical Research Award:
Designed for clinical oncology researchers involved in investigative work for 5-10 years and intended to support original research not currently funded.
Total: $450,000 over three (3) years
The 2009 online applications for ACRA in Breast Cancer and ACRA in Glioma are now open.
Letter of Intent is due on December 4, 2008
Career Development Award:
Provides funding to clinical investigators in their second, third, or fourth year of a faculty appointment to establish an independent clinical cancer research program.
Total: $200,000 over three (3) years The 2009 online applications are now closed.
Young Investigator Award:
Provides funding to final-year fellows or first-year junior faculty, to encourage and promote quality research in clinical oncology.
Total: $50,000 over one (1) year The 2009 online applications are now closed.
Community Oncology Research Grant:
Intended to support community-based practices to support their efforts to enhance their clinical trials program.
