ASCO and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) share a commitment to the provision of quality cancer care to patients worldwide. The 10-point ASCO/ESMO Consensus Statement on Quality Cancer Care was created by a task force chaired by Heinz Ludwig, MD, and composed of members of both societies. It was published in 2006 in both the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO) and the Annals of Oncology.
