The Remember Me feature is an automatic login process which creates a cookie on the hard drive of your computer containing a unique identifier which ASCO.org will utilize to remember you by, thereby avoiding the need to enter username and password upon subsequent visits to ASCO.org. DO NOT select this option if you share this computer with others since transactional, personal, or member only information will be accessible by other users.

To activate the Remember Me option, click the empty check box when signing in to the site. The Remember Me functionality is deactivated at the logout.

Help with EHR Selection, Installation, and Adoption

Adopting an EHR can be a complicated and time-consuming affair. ASCO has several resources that may help oncologists and other health professionals with this process.

Selecting an EHR
2012 ASCO EHR Lab at Annual Meeting - A live lab that has several oncology-specific vendors demonstrating their product. Vendors must pass a set of ASCO-set functionality criteria. At ASCO's Annual Meeting in June.

ASCO EHR Vendor Directory – A listing of oncology-specific EHR vendors.

AmericanEHR – Supported by both ASCO and the American College of Physicians, this is an interactive site that allows users to rate EHR vendors. It is a good resource to see the opinions of your peers. Free registration.

Medical Strategic Planning's EHR Selector - Another site that helps with EHR selection. Pay for registration.

Implementing an EHR
AAFP's Resources - Has a section on EHR implementation and a more general roadmap for EHR adoption.

ACP's Resources - Includes case studies from practicing physicians detailing their experience with installing EHRs.

AMA's Resources - Resources include specific tools that help with implementation and the planning process.
