The purpose of these derivative products is to more widely disseminate, in a practical and user-friendly form, the recommendations contained in the guidelines. In the lung cancer area, ASCO currently has derivative products for a guideline on chemotherapy for stage IV non small cell lung cancer and adjuvant therapy for stages I-IIIa resectable non small cell lung cancer
ASCO’s practice guidelines and technology assessments reflect expert consensus based on clinical evidence and literature available at the time they are written, and are intended to assist physicians in clinical decision-making and identify questions and settings for further research.
