Joint Symposia, Endorsements, & Funding

ASCO partners with societies around the world to bring relevant scientific research to oncologists and other health care professionals involved in the treatment of cancer. Most often, ASCO will work together with an oncology society to hold a symposium during a larger event. With sufficient advance notice, endorsements are sometimes granted.

All applications are available for download in this section. Completed applications must be received and approved by the International Affairs Steering Committee a minimum of six months in advance of the proposed event. As funds are limited, applicants are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Completed applications and all supporting documentation may be submitted for initial review by e-mail or fax; however, original signed copies are required to complete the review process. Please send all applications to:

The educational program is developed primarily by local or regional organizers and is reviewed and approved by the ASCO International Affairs Committee. Applications for endorsement must be received before the initial planning of the event begins.

ASCO Funding
ASCO has a limited number of funds available for supporting speaker attendance at joint symposia, endorsed events, or joint sponsored sessions. Individuals interested in applying for such funding must submit the request for funding simultaneously with the application for Joint Symposium, Endorsement, or Joint Sponsorship.

Please note: ASCO’s participation in a joint symposium or the Society’s endorsement or joint sponsorship of international conferences does not guarantee that Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit will be awarded through ASCO.
