International Clinical Trials Workshops

The International Clinical Trials Workshops (ICTW) support cancer research in economically emerging countries through the development of clinicians' research skills in those countries.

The two-day workshops, organized in collaboration with a national or regional oncology society, are aimed at educating members of research teams on best practices of clinical trial implementation and joining globally accepted standards in the conduct of clinical research with a local perspective.

• Promoting clinical trials
• Sponsor perspectives

• Local and international regulatory issues

Clinical Trials Workshop, Al-Ahsa, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, March 17-21, 2012

The workshop is organized in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, the King Abdullah International Center for Medical Research, the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), and the Center for Global Health, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Department of Health and Human Services. 

Application process:

Applicants are requested to download and complete the application form and to submit it via email to crmw@kacst.edu.sa no later than December 31, 2011. Completed applications must be accompanied by the following documents:

• Updated applicant CV
• Letters of support and commitment from the applicant's home institute

A total of thirty (30) participants will be selected on a competitive basis through an evaluation of submitted concepts and other supporting documents.  

The workshop organizers will cover all related expenses including travel, transportation, lodging, food and program materials for the applicants selected.
