Submit an Abstract for the 2008 ASCO-NCI-EORTC Annual Meeting on Molecular Markers in Cancer

Abstracts for the 2008 ASCO-NCI-EORTC Annual Meeting on Molecular Markers in Cancer are now being accepted through an online abstract submitter program. Clinical cancer and translational researchers are encouraged to submit abstracts for presentation at this educational event, to be held in Hollywood, Florida, on October 30-November 1. The deadline for abstract submission is July 11, 2008 at 11:59 PM (Eastern Daylight Time).

The second annual meeting on Molecular Markers in Cancer will bring together clinicians, pathologists, researchers, and others to accelerate progress in the rapidly advancing field of cancer markers. Evidence-based cancer diagnosis and treatment depends increasingly on the development of new molecular markers for the assessment of prognosis, treatment selection, and agent development.

The event will feature discussions on contemporary issues in molecular pathology, assay development, clinical trial design, and the development of promising fluid and tissue markers as research tools and laboratory tests. Abstracts related to molecular markers will be accepted and presented at the meeting. Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts for the ASCO-NCI-EORTC Annual Meeting on Molecular Markers in Cancer on the following topic categories:
  • Circulating Tumor Cells/Stem Cells
  • EGFR Pathways as a Target
  • VEGF/Angiogenesis Pathway
  • Proteomics/Immunohistochemistry
  • Genetics, Genomics, Epigenetics and Gene Expression
  • Immunotherapeutic Markers
Authors may submit abstracts presented prior to the Meeting, but not published as a manuscript subsequent to presentation, and summaries of new, ongoing, and updated research in the area of molecular markers are acceptable for submission and presentation. First authors must agree at the time of submission to present the abstract if it is selected for presentation at the Meeting. (This includes being present during the scheduled time of a Poster Session.) Additional submission guidelines can be found on the online abstract submission tool.
