ASCO-ESMO Consensus Statement on Quality Cancer Care

To address the needs of people with cancer around the globe to receive high quality cancer care, ASCO and The European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) released a joint Consensus Statement in 2006. The 10-point statement outlines goals to provide access to and continuity of quality cancer care worldwide and was published in both the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO) and the Annals of Oncology.

The ASCO/ESMO Consensus Statement on Quality Cancer Care was created by a task force chaired by Heinz Ludwig, MD and composed of members of both societies.
